Mid-Week Memorial Song

"We Shall Overcome," a beautiful and evocative song with origins in African American folk and gospel traditions, became the anthem of the civil rights movement, performed at thousands of rallies, concerts and church services. It's been adopted world wide since then as a song of protest against injustice. In memory of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., our song offering today is that anthem, sung movingly by the Men's Glee Club of Morehouse College, from which Dr. King graduated in 1948.
