Sunday Reflection

Leonard Pitts, Jr., on the dangerous myth- making around the life and death of Martin Luther King, Jr.:
... From the moment King was felled, 50 years ago this week, the “what” of his murder was clear as mountaintop air.
Fear purchased the gun.
Delusion loaded it.
Ignorance adjusted the sight.
Intolerance pulled the trigger.
Fifty years ago, those forces killed the man. They have sought ever since to kill the memory.
We can't let them (and we know who "they" are) succeed in killing the essence of the man and the movement any longer.  Good read to end the week marking the 50th anniversary of King's death.
