Colbert On Trump's Latest Conspiracy Theory

Last night, Stephen Colbert dissected unhinged Russian asset Donald "Rump" Trump's latest attempt to discredit the investigation into his campaign's multiple connections with the Kremlin in order to meddle in the 2016 election. Rump's now trying to sell "Spygate" as a conspiracy of the "criminal deep state," a notion straight out of the fever swamps of the tinfoil hat right. Colbert jokes that, in fact, it should be called "Investigategate."



BONUS: Rump's own Secretary of State and former CIA Director Mike Pompeo stated the obvious in a Congressional hearing yesterday: that there is no "deep state" at either the CIA or State Department. Even his own top appointees seem embarrassed by Rump's nonsense.
