Crowds And Love

Our British friends at BBC Three couldn't resist having some fun at the expense of malignant narcissist Donald "Rump" Trump. Well played.

The royal wedding itself was an unusually successful mix of contemporary and traditional, of informality and formality, of British and American cultures. American Episcopalian Bishop Michael Curry delivered an address that spoke of redemptive love with a passion that stood out in the ceremony. The crowds were joyous and loud. Memorable morning even for us cynics.

I've been away from home for a week and had forgotten all about the Royal Wedding. I work up this morning and turned on the TV at the start of the ceremony and watched all of it. I thought it was lovely and I felt the strength of emotion between the new couple. It made me feel good and shined a refreshing light on the world.

Congrats to them and may they live long, happy lives together.

donnah -- We second that emotion. It's always good that a nice couple's dreams can be realized, and the royal family be made more real and inclusive.

A rainy, dismal day here in NY spent watching the Royal Wedding. Change of pace from the awful news. May they live joyous, love-filled lives.
