Forecast: Stormy With A Chance of "Hail Yes!"

Star attorney and Trump nemesis Michael Avenatti disclosed on MSNBC this morning that there are two "solid" cases of women being paid for their silence over affairs with sexual predator and thug Donald "Rump" Trump.
“They’re not fully vetted, but there are at least two I think are on solid ground. I think that as the evidence rolls out over the coming months disclosures are going to be made that my client was not alone as relates to these payments.”
He further disclosed that the payments to these two women were larger than the payoff to adult film actress Stormy Daniels, and that they potentially present addition problems for Rump's financial disclosure legal bind. Avenatti indicated that there were additional women whose stories are being vetted, not including the case of the woman paid $1.6 million in hush money by GOP mega donor Elliott Broidy involving her abortion during an affair with him. There are legitimate questions over whether Broidy was a "front" for the payoff in order to shield Rump from liability.

This is another facet of the case to tie Trump to illegal actions. Avenatti has been brilliant about disclosing key elements in the paying off of Stormy Daniels, and I hope he gains more leverage by including other women in the charges.

But Trump's infidelities are going to hurt Cohen more than they do Trump. Cohen may be a connection to Trump, but he can still claim Trump didn't know about the payoffs if there's no evidence of it. This puts a lot of pressure on Cohen. Will he absorb the weight of accusations about illegal campaign fund usage and money laundering to keep the pressure off Trump? Trump loyalists have proven that they don't care at all about his infidelities, so the moral aspect isn't even an issue. Everything has to be connected directly to Trump himself for this to make a difference.

So tick, tock, y'all. Let's hope these threads twist into one big rope for Trump and all his crooked minions.

donnah -- We heard this morning that, based on what we know now, Cohen could face "decades" in Federal prison for fraud, money laundering, etc. which may concentrate his mind. There's also the worry that Trump will pardon him at some point in return for his silence. This is by far the most corrupt and criminal outfit in our political history.
