Kim In China For Another Summit

In a sign of China's great influence on the developments in North Korea, reports indicate that North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un made an unannounced visit to China yesterday to meet with Chinese leader Xi Jinping in advance of the upcoming, and still unscheduled, summit with demagogue and pathological liar Donald "Rump" Trump. This is Kim's second summit with Xi, having met him in March to discuss strategy for the summit with the U.S. China is key to any economic progress (or sanctions) for North Korea.

One of China's goals is to prevent, or dramatically slow, any reunification of the Koreas, which would undermine it's longterm interests by creating a potential economic and political rival on its borders. Now that North Korea has nuclear weapons and an ICBM capability, it's expected to reject any demand by the U.S. that it completely dismantle its weapons and missile systems, particularly now that they see Rump's treacherous behavior toward non-nuclear Iran and the treaty they entered into.
