Weekend Music

It's been a long time since we featured one of our favorite evocative songs, but since it happens to be the birthday of electric violinist David LaFlamme, here's a reprise of "White Bird" from It's A Beautiful Day's eponymous album, released in 1969.  You can just smell the sandalwood and feel the cool, sun- drenched breeze off San Francisco Bay, right?

I smelled a hint of something else besides sandalwood...is that code for something?

Uh- oh, the sandalwood's supposed to cover that up -- light more sandalwood!

This was another one of my favorite songs from my yut!

Out of curiousity ... contemporaneously (is that a word) was a group Tom Rapp/Pearls Before Swine. Partially because of the biblical reference, & the portion of Bosch painting on the album cover, The Garden of Earthly Delights.

btw: it is housed in the Prado Museum in Madrid, where I currently live. Stumbling upon it was way beyond cool.

Anyway, my favorite song was/is Another Time.

Cheers!!
