New York's attorney general Barbara Underwood announced today that the State of New York was suing the self-dealing scam Donald J. Trump Foundation for years of "persistent illegal conduct," including "unlawful political coordination" and misuse of charitable assets. The 41-page suit names the Foundation, Trump, daughter Ivanka, and sons Donald Jr. and Eric as defendants. The State is seeking dissolution of the corrupt organization, in addition to restitution and penalties. The State also indicated it was sending letters to the IRS and Federal Election Commission identifying possible violations to their laws.
We've covered the various scams and grifts of con artist and narcissist Donald "Rump" Trump in the past, from his fraudulent Trump "University" scam to his use of his Foundation's money to settle lawsuits against his various sketchy businesses. New York State's lawsuit should reveal more about his and his family's deep corruption and greed, as if we needed more evidence.
UPDATE: Rump blasts the New York attorney general and says he "won't settle" the case. Let's hope he plows through a mountain of legal fees....before he settles.
