Thousands Rally To End Trump Family Separation Evil

Here are some pics from our (hot) rally in Washington, DC (photos by Astrid Riecken, via Washington Post):

There were tens of thousands here (in Lafayette Park across from the White (Supremacist) House).

More from around the country here, here, herehere, and here.

Images matter. You can say there were ten thousand people in a protest march, but there's nothing like a photo of that scene: the scope is memorable and moving. That's why the Inaugural photo for Trump was such a thorn in his side; he couldn't even begin to compare his crowd with Obama's crowd size. And the images of the Women's March shamed him as well.

Everything we do matters. Everything counts in some way. We cannot sit on our sofas and wail about what's happening; we have to get up and get out and make our voices heard.

A reminder: make sure older voters and seniors are registered to vote and make sure they have a ride to the polls. My mom missed a couple of primaries due to illness and I'm making certain that she hasn't been dropped. And I'll drive her to her voting precinct in November as well.

donnah - on your last point, it's vitally important that we get the highest turnout possible come November. Whatever it takes, everyone has to pitch in to get our voters to the polls. The Repubs have built-in advantages in many states that will only be overcome by a historic blue wave. Let's do it!
