Jim Jordan: Wrestling With A Sex Scandal (UPDATED)

Right-wing bomb thrower and member of the scurrilous so-called "Freedom Caucus" Rep. Jim "Jackass" Jordan (R-Trumplandia) is being accused of failing to stop a sexual abuser while he was assistant wrestling coach at Ohio State University. The abuser, a team doctor, was accused of groping wrestlers on the team, a fact that was known by Jordan according to reports from the athletes. From the article:
"Male athletes from 14 sports at Ohio State have reported alleged sexual misconduct by Richard Strauss, who was on the faculty and medical staff and published a variety of research. Strauss died in 2005, and it was ruled a suicide.

Ohio State has not released details about the claims but said more than 150 former students and witnesses have been interviewed so far. [snip]

(Former Ohio State wrestler Dunyasha) Yetts, 47, of Steubenville, said Strauss groped him at least three times during routine exams when he wrestled in the early to mid-1990s. Jordan was Yetts' weight-class coach at the time, and the two spoke frequently about Strauss, he said. Jordan was among the people Yetts told about groping the first time in happened in 1992, Yetts told The Associated Press Tuesday.

"He'd even make comments, 'This guy better not touch me,'" Yetts said." (our emphasis)
Jordan was one of Hillary Clinton's most vicious inquisitors at the Benghazi! Benghazi! Benghazi! kangaroo court hearings, which were intended solely to smear Clinton prior to the 2016 Presidential campaign. He is one of the most radical right-wingers in Congress, last seen fulminating against Deputy Attorney General Rosenstein over Russiagate papers demanded by Congressional Rethugs in order to undermine the Mueller investigation. That behavior is even causing a backlash back home in his conservative district.

Whether this will be another Joe Paterno-level sexual abuse scandal remains to be seen, but having a despicable character like Jackass Jordan at the center is political schadenfreude at it's finest.

UPDATE:  The count of former wrestlers accusing Jordan of knowing of the sexual assaults has risen to five.

Jordan going away? That would be a dream come true. Sanctimonious, holier-than-thou, radically insane Right Wing asshole...let the truth come out and send him down the toilet. I'm from Ohio, I know of whom I speak. Please let him go in shame!
