Sunday Reflection

"Look, you know, I’ve been talking for some time and getting in trouble. It’s time for some of us to get in good trouble, necessary trouble... In the final analysis, we may have to turn America upside down to set it right side up, but whatever we do, do it in an orderly, peaceful and nonviolent fashion.” -- civil rights icon Rep. John Lewis (D-GA) speaking to a "Families Belong Together" rally in Atlanta, GA, yesterday.

John Lewis is an icon, an American treasure. He has sacrificed physically, mentally, and emotionally for this country. Unlike our fearful leader, Lewis is a beacon of courage and humanity. He fought for civil rights and paid a price, and now he's again at the forefront of justice.

We have to vote to honor him. Don't let us revert to the old days when so many died for the cause.

donnah -- Rep. Lewis speaks with legitimate moral authority whereas Rump speaks with illegitimate immoral authority. We need to be turning America upside down starting yesterday.
