Hack Of The Week: Van Jones

Ever since narcissistic sociopath Donald "Rump" Trump began his term, some in the media were breathlessly awaiting a normalizing "pivot" for him to be "presidential." One of the most prominent of these was CNN's Van Jones, who has been eager to establish himself as a access-obsessed, both-sides media celebrity interviewer at any cost.

His unctuous interview last Monday with Rump crime family junior partner Jared "Mr. Ivanka Trump" Kushner demonstrated that Jones was more interested in future access to Kushner and family than grilling him for his close connections to Sawdi Crown Prince Mohammed Bone Saw, and various Russian oligarchs and crime figures that are likely involved in Kushner's family real estate ventures. Roger Sollenberger at Paste Magazine has a really good takedown of Jones' silly, softball interview with Kushner that was initially based on the topic of prison reform (which Kushner's father might be better able to address).

Signs of Jones' desire to play the both sides song came early, with his fawning praise of Rump's address to a joint session of Congress in March, 2017, when he stated, "He became President of the United States in that moment, period," referring to Rump's acknowledgement of a SEAL widow in the gallery. Rump not only didn't "become President" at that moment, he's proven himself time and again to be incapable of that, despite Jones' attempts to normalize him and curry favor with the White (Supremacist) House. Shame.
