The missing Saudi journalist and U.S. resident Jamal Khashoggi was killed inside a Saudi consulate in Istanbul, Saudi Arabia admitted in a dead-of-night statement from a prosecutor early Saturday.
Saudi authorities released results from what they claimed was an initial investigation, saying that Khashoggi was killed after a discussion turned into a fight during his visit to the consulate. (our emphasis)We've lost track. Is this the limited hangout, or the modified limited hangout version?

Not that the Middle East isn't already steeped in violence and not that MBS hasn't already engaged in violent behavior, but it seems that now our own president sanctions it and supports it. He may pretend to decry it now, but he's just now praised a bully of roughing up an American journalist and I suspect that he might encourage that roughness in other instances as well. Trump is now sanctioning violence, people, against anyone who speaks out against him, just like the Russians and the Saudis do. It makes me shudder. It chills me to the bone.
We as a nation are on the brink of chaos, when a president supports violence and physical injury against his own citizens when they criticize his leadership, or lack thereof. If that doesn't scare us, we're truly doomed.
donnah -- all the more reason for every sentient person to get to the polls and vote straight Democratic ticket, so we can have the most definitive repudiation of this shitheel and his shitheel party possible!
