Martin Luther King, Jr., 1929-1968

"The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy." - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., in "Strength to Love" (1963), a collection of his sermons and speeches.

He would have been 90 years old on January 15.

Mike Pence quoted King and compared what Trump is doing to King's words and work. Those words are sacred, and they should taste like ashes in Pence's mouth. Do not quote rhe brilliance and compassion of a true leader, Pence, as you do not comprehend his message.

donnah - Pence is a dead-eyed cipher and King would not have the time of day for him. It's easy to imagine what King's reaction would've been to the shitwads like Pence and Trump and their whole base of racist nitwits.
