One Fly -- I think things will break loose when feds working without paychecks in the aviation system (TSA and air traffic controllers) and people depending on them (pilots and flight crews) decide not to show up for work en masse, either to force the issue or because they need to look for other jobs. I think Senate Repubs are more likely to peel off and force McConnell to open government, even if they have to override a Trump veto. That's just my conventional wisdom, though.
I was grateful to hear that the Martin Luther King, Jr museum was able to be opened for this special weekend in his honor. It shouldn't have to be funded by donations, though. And I don't want Trump and his ilk to think, “Well, if it can run on donations alone, maybe we stop funding it. And maybe we don't need to fund other national sites, either.” That's how this administration works.
It's being reframed. Dims hold by far the better hand and may need to fold.
