QOTD: Don The Con
"Every day there is a racist tweet, a hateful tweet — something really dark and ugly. What are we as candidates, as activists, as the press, going to do about it? We're going to chase after those every day? Here's what bothers me. By the time we get to 2020, Donald Trump may not even be president. In fact, he may not even be a free person." (our emphasis) -- Presidential candidate Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) in a speech today in Cedar Rapids, IA.

Sen. Professor Warren is being wildly optimistic. I can more readily believe that by 2020 he will be mentally or physically disabled and unable to continue in office but while he may be impeached, he won't be convicted and removed from office.
ReplyDeleteJimbo -- It's a good line, however unrealistic as you point out. We're all anxious to get the Mueller report, the results of the investigations and litigation from the SDNY and state attorneys general, etc., and 2020 looks so far away.
