Ivanka's Latest Grift Asks For Taxpayer Money
The FY 2020 Federal budget that con man and sexual predator Donald "Rump" Trump proposed today includes an increase in the defense budget, wall funding, and cuts across most domestic programs, with one glaring exception. He's proposing to provide $100 million for daughter Ivanka's "global women's fund," purportedly to help "empower" women economically in developing countries. This is the same fund that the Saudis and United Arab Emirates pledged $100 million to in 2017 as an obvious bribe to build Rump's support for their regimes, which continue to have abysmal records on women's rights not to mention human rights despite the public relations blitz to the contrary.
The test of whether this is another publicity-seeking scam for Rump's lusted-after daughter may be in her attitude toward women working on her foreign-made products in locations like China, where, for example, practices at her shoe-manufacturing factory include forced overtime, minimal wages, and harassment. Another test might be her response to the fact that her family asked for and received Trump trademarks for escort services and massage parlors in China.
Rump has been looking to advance his corrupt business operation while in office, and you can be certain that this proposed taxpayer-funded scam is actually intended to benefit his daughter, either financially or as far as public perception is concerned, far more than women in developing countries, working under desperate conditions that she herself tolerates.
