As an indication of how North Korean despot Kim Jong Un has played demagogue and narcissist Donald "Not Exonerated" Trump like a five dollar fiddle, North Korea announced that it had tested a new "tactical guided weapon" to send a signal that it's willing to move ahead with its weapons program. To put an exclamation point on Kim's dominant role in the "negotiations" with Trump, the North Koreans demanded that Secretary of State Mike Pompeo be replaced in any future negotiations by someone who is more "careful and mature" in their communications. With Trump willing to do almost anything to appease Kim to get a foreign policy "win," it would not surprise us if he agreed to Kim's conditions. He might even invite nuclear policy expert and lusted-after daughter Ivanka "Baby" Trump to take Pompeo's place. At least, Ivanka might get a licensing deal out of it.
All of the flowery letters Kim sent to Trump played to Trump's narcissism and need for affection. It worked. Now, we'll see how far in the tank Trump is for Kim if he bounces his own Secretary of State from the "negotiations."
BONUS: Right on cue, the Kremlin announced today that Kim will travel to Moscow to meet with Russian thug and autocrat Vladimir Putin later this month. We wonder if Kim's helping Putin draft a love letter to Trump.
