When The Border's Not The Border

Pointing out that Rethuglican congresscritters lie is like pointing to water and saying it's wet. But a group of Rethuglicans engaged in a deceitful farce to promote sociopathic bigot Donald "Not Exonerated" Trump's wall (that Mexico was going to pay for). Traveling to Coolidge, AZ about 100 miles from the U.S.-Mexican border, a group of Rethugs led by one of Trump's most extreme fans Rep. Matt "DUI" Gaetz, pretended they were actually at the border inspecting new sections of Trump's wall (that Mexico was going to pay for). What they were inspecting were prototypes and wall building technology, but you wouldn't know it by Gaetz's tweets:
"The Wall is being built!" Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) claimed Tuesday on Twitter. He included a photo of himself looking at a mixing truck and a segment of a fence as well as another photograph of that construction site.

Gaetz also tweeted a video of himself at the site with the caption, "I'm on the southern border of the United States in Arizona."
Liars. After being called on the stunt, Gaetz tweeted that the wall (that Mexico was going to pay for)  is well underway, despite the fact that most of the work so far has been to replace existing fencing and barriers. The Rethuglicans that staged the visit to "the border" know that, but their livelihoods depend on backing their Dear Leader's lies no matter what.
