"Stop The Bans" Rallies Thousands Nationwide

In response to the attacks on women's reproductive rights by radical Rethuglican zealots in state legislatures in several states, "Stop The Bans" marches across the country were organized today to demand a halt to the bans on legal abortion. Some pictures from today's marches.

I’m outraged, incandescantly so. I have been around long enough to have seen Roe v Wade put into place and I’ve witnessed the ongoing attacks on it by countless religious and misogynist zealots. The Republicans and the Right to Lifers put Trump into the presidency because they knew he’d get their Supreme judges up and running to start forcing their state challenges into law. They are willing to overlook Trump’s own adultering and make him their weapon against legal abortion.

And these zealots are going to get their asses handed to them. Women of all ages are going to burn them like dragonfire, women are going to rise up and scorch the punitive, hateful laws that the states are trying to use to silence women and take away our ownership of our own bodies. Women who gathered for the Women’s March are going to do the same, but there will be pitchforks and torches this time.

This battle is like no other, and women and men must stand up for our rights.

I'm expecting there will be women who will martyr themselves with coathangers on the steps of state capitols.
These laws are cruel. Josef Mengele would be proud his work is continuing in 2019 America.
