Ukraine, If You're Listening....

As is said, you can't make this stuff up. Unhinged and increasingly lawless Rudy "Ghouliani" Giuliani had a plan (obviously approved by con man and demagogue Donald "Not Exonerated" Trump) to travel to Ukraine and pressure the new government to investigate dealings that Hunter Biden, the former VP's son, had with a Ukrainian gas mogul. The intent clearly is to generate dirt on the former Vice President, who is widely seen as Trump's main threat, at least in Trumpworld.

Unfortunately for Giuliani, his large uncontrolled mouth publicized the trip on Laura Ingraham's hour of rage on Fux, and the blowback was intense and the trip was cancelled. Comparisons to Trump's eagerness to accept stolen DNC e-mails from Russia, via WikiLeaks, were immediate, and indicated that they had learned nothing in the past three years, and felt emboldened by the public calm following the false spin on the Mueller report.
"The trip raised the specter of a lawyer for Mr. Trump pressing a foreign government to pursue investigations that his allies hope could help him win re-election. And it comes after Mr. Trump has spent more than half of his term facing scrutiny about whether his 2016 campaign conspired with Ukraine’s hostile neighbor, Russia. Mr. Giuliani had planned to leave on Sunday."
Apparently, the new Ukrainian government has heard of Giuliani's reputation for sewer dwelling and wanted no part of it, to their everlasting credit:
"The change of plans came as advisers were urging the incoming Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelensky, a comedian and political newcomer, not to meet with Mr. Giuliani, according to a person familiar with the conversations."
It's especially brave because Ukraine is on the front lines of Russian aggression, having lost territory to their military action. A volatile Trump may retaliate in some way for their resistance to Giuliani's corrupt and un-American solicitation.  Fux's conspiracy- mongering and Giuliani's bumbling intrigue have already cost the career U.S. ambassador to Ukraine her job.
