Congress To Reject Trump On Saudi Arms Sale

There aren't many issues that Dems and their Trumpian Rethug counterparts in Congress agree on, but one of them appears to be arm sales to the corrupt regime of Saudi Arabia and its puppet state, the United Arab Emirates. A bipartisan majority is preparing to block corrupt con man and sociopath Donald "Rump" Trump's $8 billion sale of weapons to them, end-running Congress by declaring another "emergency" involving nebulous "threats" from Iran. Last month, Congress rejected that justification overwhelmingly, indicating distrust of the Saudi regime, let by murderous Crown Prince Mohammed bin "Bone Saw" Salman. Bone Saw was identified by U.S. intelligence as giving the order to murder and dismember Washington Post journalist and regime critic Jamal Khashoggi last October in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul.

The Saudis have also been participating in a vicious civil war in Yemen that's resulted in thousands of civilian casualties. There's little doubt that the arms would be used in that conflict, including precision-guided munitions and mortars. Trump and son-in-law Jared "Mr. Ivanka Trump" Kushner have had significant business dealings with both the Saudis and Emirates, and in 2017 Crown Prince Bone Saw is reported to have remarked that he had Kushner in his pocket. It's a pocket that needs to be sewn shut.
