Apollo 11 In Real Time, Cont.




Fifty years ago this minute, Apollo 11 was on the second day of its mission to the Moon.  It was approximately 102,000 nautical miles from Earth, traveling at 3,600 mph (Mach 4.7).  The screenshot above is how Earth would have looked at this point in their mission.
