After his take-your-daughter-to-work-day tour of Asia, malignant narcissist and sexual predator Donald "Grab 'Em" Trump is hilariously pretending that his lusted-after daughter and First Shady Ivanka was well received by foreign leaders at the G-20 Summit in Osaka, Japan. His attempted gaslighting is contradicted by not only private comments and concerns about her prominent role, but by viral video showing some of those world leaders trying to ignore her or to freeze her out of their conversations. For her presumptuous and clueless presence, she earned another hashtag: #UnwantedIvanka.
Lusting daddy Trump also falsely claimed that he wasn't "grooming" his daughter for political office, despite giving her exposure to foreign leaders and polishing her sparse and largely vacuous resume. She's tagged along with daddy on many junkets, where he's presented her as a stand-in First Lady (Dr. Freud, paging Dr. Freud!), and it's only one short step to see the effort as trying to establish a family dynasty into the future on the part of someone who believes himself a quasi-emperor.
BONUS: Former national security official at DOJ and law professor Carrie Cordero had this to say:
"This ascension of family-directed foreign affairs is an unhealthy development for our democracy. And Ivanka Trump ought to back off: Americans didn’t elect her, we don’t have any way of holding her accountable and we don’t support her playacting at government. Ivanka Trump’s self-placement at the table with global heads of state is not an example of the ascension of a professional woman: She has, after all, not one merit-based qualification to be participating in the diplomatic meetings she is attending. There are professional women inside the executive branch and outside government who have spent a lifetime becoming expert in their fields, whether that’s economics, international relations, trade, international law or diplomacy."(photo: OK kids, who doesn't belong in this picture? Yes! Ivanka and her daddy!)
