Famous Last Words? Boris Johnson Edition
British Prime Minister Boris "Breaks It" Johnson, Brexit's standard bearer, has suffered several recent defeats and party defections in Parliament, but is staying with his pledge to exit the European Union (EU) without a deal. Asked by a reporter on Thursday whether he'd seek an extension in talks with the EU, Johnson replied, "I'd rather be dead in a ditch."
No word on whether Scotland Yard has Johnson under close guard, as the House of Lords voted yesterday to block a "no-deal Brexit," leaving Johnson in a ditch, so to speak. At least he can be comforted in knowing that his American doppelgänger is lending him his "full support."
