Republican Crime Blotter: A Threefer

ONE: A fanatic Trump supporter and violent opponent of women's reproductive rights who threatened to eat a pro-choice Harvard professor alive has pled guilty to cyberstalking sending threatening e-mails to that professor and to a reproductive clinic. The lunatic, Matthew Haviland, was arrested last spring at his home in Rhode Island and faces up to five years in prison. To get a flavor of his level of craziness, check this:
"A Donald Trump supporter from Rhode Island allegedly threatened to kill and eat a college professor and 'eradicate' Democrats, according to federal officials. [snip] In emails to the professor, who has publicly advocated for abortion rights, Haviland allegedly threatened to 'rip every limb from your body and eat it, piece by piece' and 'savor' the teacher’s 'innards.'

'You will have your face ripped off and eaten by me, personally,' Haviland wrote in another email to the professor, whose name and affiliation were not revealed by the feds.

Haviland threatened Democrats in other emails, saying that people wearing 'pink fucking hats'—an apparent reference to the 'Pussy Hats' worn by Women’s March participants—'should all be slaughtered,' according to his indictment. He also allegedly wrote that all Democrats 'must be eradicated.'”  (our emphasis)
Seems normal for a red cap cultist. Imagine the mental sickness needed to claim to defend the sanctity of life while threatening to murder people.

TWO: Pennsylvania Republican State Senator Mike "Likes Tykes" Folmer resigned yesterday after being arrested on charges of child sexual abuse and possession of child pornography found on his Tumblr account:
"According to the criminal complaint, Folmer admitted to police Tuesday that the Tumblr account and associated email address belonged to him, and 'that he had been dealing with some personal problems/issues and that he had received child pornography through his Tumblr blog.'”
These people have dark issues, just like their Dear Leader.

THREEGrifting GOP grifters gotta grift:
In one of the first Justice Department cases of its kind, Maryland political consultant Kelley Rogers pled guilty to wire fraud on Tuesday for operating multiple fraudulent political action committees that raised money from donors for conservative causes but kept much of the funds for Rogers and his associates.
Rogers’ arrest and indictment took place shortly after Politico and ProPublica investigated one of Rogers’ PACs, Conservative Majority Fund, which since 2012 has raised close to $10 million — mostly from small-dollar donors, many of them elderly -- while giving out just $48,400 to politicians(our emphasis)
"My coursework at Trump University taught me everything I needed to know," Rogers didn't say.
