The self- incriminating Orange Baboon can't keep his yap shut:
The man just renewed his solicitation of a foreign attack on our election and added a second country. This anti-American behavior is not something we can tolerate from a sitting President. His job — his sworn duty — is to defend America, not betray it. Enough. https://t.co/bkra6bYfzS— Walter Shaub (@waltshaub) October 3, 2019
Confessing on tv, doesn’t make it any less of a crime https://t.co/crO6koWtR4— Molly Jong-Fast (@MollyJongFast) October 3, 2019
In plain sight, Trump has now asked *two* counties to investigate his political opponent. https://t.co/QI6DAIeghQ— Jim Sciutto (@jimsciutto) October 3, 2019
This is apparently going to be the play — repeat the impeachable offense out in the open and pretend that it’s a totally normal thing to do. https://t.co/slvx9fgCBx— Kevin M. Kruse (@KevinMKruse) October 3, 2019
There was a play avail to the WH early on to say he went too far, but it wasn't impeachable -- would've given R's some firm ground on which to stand. But since he can't admit a mistake, he is going to drag them into breaking with him or defending the indefensible. https://t.co/ML2oi2gTGp— Matthew Miller (@matthewamiller) October 3, 2019
Both-Sider Chuck Todd came onto his MTP show on MSNBC this afternoon and in a very somber tone stated that as of Trump's White House lawn speech today, the US is under attack by our own president. He saw Trump's obvious and deliberate statement to Ukraine and China to start investigating Biden and essentially said that the US has the power to force China to do so. He said this directly and somewhat proudly, making the whistleblower irrelevant, as he basically just proved what he's been accused of. He abused his power as president to impel foreign governments to dig up dirt on his political rival.
ReplyDeleteChuck Todd. Who knew?
donnah -- who knew indeed! Be on the lookout for backsliding!
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's Chuck Todd, so I'm not expecting a continued conversion. It was nice for the moment.
