History Marks Trump As "Impeached" (UPDATED)

On both Articles of Impeachment, abuse of power and obstruction of Congress, the House voted decisively last night to impeach demagogue and cheater Donald "Impeachable Me" Trump. A couple of conservaDems from red districts split off from the majority and voted "no," while profile in courage Rep. Tulsi Gabbard -- a favorite of Trumpists as a potential third party spoiler -- voted "present" both times. The vulnerable Dem freshmen who were elected in districts that voted for Trump in 2016 showed character and integrity by voting with the Dem majority. Save for libertarian and former Republican Rep. Justin Amash, not a single vote was cast by gutless Republican House members to impeach their Dear Leader.

As one commentator put it last night, all of his miserable life, Trump has never faced the consequences of his actions. His daddy bought him a deferment from Vietnam and handed him hundreds of millions of dollars and he still went bankrupt. His lawyers have rescued him from those multiple bankruptcies and lawsuits for stiffing contractors. His non-disclosure agreements and hush money payments have stilled the voices of people he's abused and degraded. But now, this impeachment is a mark, a stain, that he can't wipe away or pay someone to take care of. It's history, and if Dems and like minded independents stay focused, organized and passionate as they were in the 2018 mid-terms, he'll be history next year.

UPDATE:

UPDATE IISpeaker Pelosi is wisely holding off on transmitting the Articles of Impeachment until the Republican Senate formulates its procedures for the trial to her satisfaction (i.e., witnesses, documents, etc., and fairness).  Let the "impeached" stain hang over Trump's empty head for as long as necessary before the rotted- out Republicans acquit him.
