Trump Comes Unglued In Letter To Pelosi

In a clear sign that his impending impeachment has made him even more unstable, sociopath and con man Donald "Impeachable Me" Trump fired off a 6 page harangue to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, whining about the unjustness of the impeachment he faces when the House votes tomorrow. Using words that belie his insecurity like "powerful" and "strongest" that he normally uses when he describes Vladimir Putin and other dictators, Trump projects the charges against him back on the Speaker and the House, i.e., "breaking your allegiance to the Constitution," "violating your oaths of office," and "unfettered contempt for America's founding." On page 2, the letter raises the false charge that former Vice President Biden coerced disgraced Ukrainian prosecutors to drop an investigation into his son's role with Ukrainian gas company Burisma. There's no bottom when it comes to attacking his political adversaries, even though his own adult children are  poster kids for corruption and nepotism.

It's obvious that the over-the-top anger expressed in the letter is pure Trump, the language is a step or two up from his normally misspelled tweets, but the further you go into the letter, the more unhinged and paranoid his accusations: corrupt FBI, Russiagate "witch hunt," "subverting America's democracy," etc. It's a dishonest trip through all of the Republican talking points, too: no pressure on Zelensky, no "quid pro quo," "a coup to reverse the 2016 election," "distracting from the great economy," and so on ad nauseam. It's full of self-pity, boiling anger, and the endless lies that make Trump the unfit sociopath that he is.
