Trump's Obsession: Nobel Peace Prize Edition

As we wrote yesterday, sociopath and pathological liar Donald "Impeachable Me" Trump is utterly obsessed with President Obama, whom he sees as a much greater historical and political figure than himself. It eats him alive, especially after years of his racist birther slanders didn't deny Obama a second term.

One of the irritants that arises with Trump is the Nobel Peace Prize, which was awarded to Obama in his first year in office. Trump is monumentally envious of Obama receiving that honor. In his latest Nuremberg-style rally on Thursday, he complained that the Ethiopian prime minister received it instead of him, and managed to get the basis for the award to the Ethiopian wrong, thinking it had something to do with a "deal" he had a hand in. Also, the Nobel committee looks unfavorably on demagogues who threaten to destroy the cultural and religious sites of another country, among other war crimes.

When North Korean despot Kim Jong-un played Trump like a cheap violin over the chimera of de-nuclearization of North Korea (and continues to), Trump foolishly thought he had the Nobel prize locked up. But the Nobel committee knows a shallow con man when they see one, even if Trump's cult members don't.
