Russia's Man In The White House

Yesterday's reporting that narcissistic demagogue and corrupt Kremlin asset Donald "Tovarich" Trump was furious at his former Director of National Intelligence for briefing the House Intelligence Committee on Russia's continuing election interference is the surest sign of his fealty to the Kremlin. According to Kremlinologist Julia Davis, Russia's organized crime boss Vladimir Putin is seeing the investment that he made in 2016 paying off:
"Indeed, Trump’s presidency is so valuable for President Vladimir Putin that even 'tough' sanctions are minor by comparison. The Chekist in the Kremlin is willing to make temporary sacrifices in order to keep such a disruptive figure in charge of the mightiest country in the world, and Russian state media repeatedly make the point that Russia’s gamble will continue to pay off, since the Kremlin is holding, as it were, the trump card.

Russian experts and pundits on state television frequently express their desire to see President Trump re-elected. Appearing on Russia’s popular state television news talk show 60 Minutes last October, political analyst Mikhail Sinelnikov-Orishak gushed: “I look at Trump and think: ‘May God grant him good health—and another term.’ This is a great situation for Russia... may he flourish and get re-elected...Trump is a great candidate. I applaud him... For America, this isn’t a very good president.'” (our emphasis)
If Trump gets a second term, Russia is expecting major concessions from him, including the lifting of sanctions imposed over the past few years, reduction of U.S. support for Ukraine, and restoration of their consulate facilities in the U.S. which served as centers for their intelligence-gathering. An unfettered Trump, supported by spineless and cultish Republicans, may even push ahead with his private commercial projects in Russia, which could make him wealthier by far, emoluments be damned.

Kremlin-controlled media are not shy about gloating over Trump's subservience to Russia, and are already predicting the outcome of the 2020 election, thanks in large part to their malign interference on Trump's behalf:
"Last year, following the release of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report,  Evgeny Popov, the host of Russia’s 60 Minutes, promised: 'Soon, we will help you elect Trump once again. Just like the last time. Get ready!' After the conclusion of the impeachment hearings this month, Russian state television channel Rossiya-1 host Artyom Sheynin exclaimed: 'Trump forever!' and asked: 'Is America finished?'” (our emphasis)
"Is America finished?" If their stooge is reelected, it will be heading that way.
