Long time dirty trickster and degenerate hack Roger Stone was sentenced today to 40 months in prison (and a $20,000 fine) by Federal District Judge Amy Berman Jackson. Before pronouncing his sentence, Jackson had some pointed observations, laying into not only Stone, but the new Barr-designated Federal prosecutor, John Crabb:
"U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson said during the hearing that Stone’s use of social media to stoke public sentiment against the prosecution and the court was intended to reach a wide audience, including using a photo of Jackson with crosshairs superimposed.Some other zingers from Judge Berman Jackson:
'This is intolerable to the administration of justice,' Jackson said. She also pointedly noted that the original team of prosecutors resigned.
'Why are you the one who is standing here today?' Jackson asked federal prosecutor John Crabb, who took over the case after the original trial team quit."
“This case did not arise because Roger Stone was being pursued by his political enemies. It arose because Roger Stone characteristically injected himself smack into the middle of one of the most significant issues of the day."Adding to his banana republic bona fides, unhinged demagogue and election fraudster Donald "Cheat-o" Trump tweeted his disapproval during the sentencing hearing, voicing his usual baseless complaints that his nemeses James Comey, Andrew McCabe, Hillary Clinton, and others have not been prosecuted for either exposing his criminality or running against him.
"At his core, Mr. Stone is an insecure person who craves and recklessly pursues attention. Nothing about this case was a joke. It wasn’t funny."
Stone has the reasonable assurance that his benefactor will pardon him, sooner rather than later. This sick bottom feeder will likely never spend a day in jail for his felonies.
