Weekend Pleasing Music Twofer

Fifty- seven years ago, on February 7, 1963, the Beatles' first single was released in the United States on the Vee Jay label. Vee Jay released it because some world- class tin ear doofus at Capitol Records turned it down.  It didn't chart at the time because, aside from DJ Dick Biondi at WLS in Chicago, apparently no distributor or radio station had the good sense to understand what they had on their hands.  A year later, though, it did chart at #3 at the same time "I Want To Hold Your Hand" and "She Loves You" were #s 1 and 2.  Written by John Lennon, it's one of our favorite Beatles songs, "Please Please Me," with the B- side, "Ask Me Why," a "primarily" Lennon composition.  Hope you enjoy.
