It's only barely history, since it should be fresh in everyone's memories how both dangerous dolt Donald "I Alone Can Fix It" Trump and his communications team at Fox "News" were poo- pooing the coronavirus outbreak before it suddenly dawned on them that their bullshit wasn't going to stem the tide. But, nevertheless, they're brazenly doing what they do best -- lie.
This was Trump's latest try at a do- over on his lack of awareness and action on the outbreak:
For weeks, President Trump has minimized the coronavirus, mocked concern about it and treated the risk from it cavalierly. On Tuesday he took to the White House lectern and made a remarkable assertion: He knew it was a pandemic all along.
“This is a pandemic,” Mr. Trump told reporters. “I felt it was a pandemic long before it was called a pandemic.”

Trump recently also claimed he had nothing to do with the dismantling of the office in the White House in charge of coordinating a national response to pandemics, and infamously refused to take responsibility for an action that took place right under his nose:

Failure to acknowledge errors or take responsibility is a hallmark of narcissist Trump's life and political career, as well as the spineless party that backs him up. Unfortunately, failing to learn from those errors is already having life and death consequences for us, and will so in the future.
It's crucial that their attempts to whitewash history to save a rotted- out dolt and his party be called out by the media every time it happens. It's also crucial for us as citizens to hold these sociopaths responsible in every way we can for putting self interest over the public interest.
