Coronavirus Memorial Day

The front page of today's New York Times:

The front page's approximately 1,000 names represent 1 percent of the total number of people who have died, at a minimum,  from coronavirus in the U.S. to date.  "An incalculable loss" indeed.

And then print ninety-seven of those pages to list all of those lost lives to date. It's unfathomable that this country has lost so many fellow human beings in such a short time.

My heart is broken for those families and friends who have lost loved ones. There is no comfort for them as they watch a disgraced president out golfing while so many are dying. It's unspeakable.
