Some stats: Trump has run up a tab of approximately $135 million in taxpayer money for his golfing outings. This is the 250th time he's traipsed to a golf club (almost always one of his own).

I wish this covid disaster was just a bad dream, but it's in fact a nightmare that continues to haunt us in real life. Is it because a lot of young people still think it can't affect them? Is it because they see big cities like New York City have been hit hardest and they don't live there? Is it because they believe it's a hoax and they just want to own the Libs?
Because I don't know anyone who has been affected directly by it. And I don't think that our city is overwhelmed by it. But I still sheltered at home since the first of March, missed my birthday, missed Mother's Day, and I will continue to stay as isolated as possible. I'm caring for two senior moms and I cannot jeopardize their lives because I miss dining out. I just don't get the attitude they have.
And of course Trump is golfing. The sad thing is, among many sad things, is that he doesn't care that he is a selfish, spoiled monster who plays golf while thousands more people die. He could have made visits to hospitals; he was confident enough to visit factories in swing states after all. He could hold a press conference, not the braggy kind or the self-promotion kind, but one that honored the lives of those who have died. He could have spoken out to Congress to get more money for victims. But no, he's done with this whole corona thing and the economy is his sole focus because he thinks it will get him re-elected.
And that's it. The overwhelming disgrace of a president wants to golf, and fuck anyone who thinks he shouldn't.
