Pecker's "Paws" In PPP

The aptly named David "I Am My Name" Pecker, the trash tabloid publisher of the National Enquirer and protector of predator Donald "Individual-1" Trump, has applied for a Paycheck Protection Program forgivable loan for his bottom-dwelling tabloid, according to reports. Pecker is apparently seeking $5 to $6 million from the Federal loan program for his American Media Inc. (AMI). Pecker was a staunch supporter of Trump during the 2016 campaign, and facilitated $150,000 in hush money payments -- packaged as "catch and kill" deals -- to  Playboy model Karen McDougal not to publish the story of her affair with then-candidate Trump.

Some staff at AMI expressed outrage that Pecker, who is a multi-millionaire, would apply for loans designed for truly small, main street businesses:
If they get the money they should be called on the carpet,” one AMI staffer told The Daily Beast asking for anonymity for fear of retaliation.

“Their gumption is breathtaking. It’s not right—they would be taking money away from a small business that really needs it. It doesn’t surprise me Pecker is trying this as he’s desperate, but getting money from the government and Trump after all they have done is sickening.” (our emphasis)
Billions of dollars in loans are unaccounted for under the PPP, with stories popping up every day of chain stores, sports teams, Trump cronies and others taking the lion's share of money intended for protecting the paychecks of small business employees. At least one pecker was caught, and should be denied it.
