Pics Of The Day: Abandoned Beauty
German freelance photographer Dieter Klein is drawn to photographing the surprising beauty of long-abandoned cars and trucks, often in remote forests and fields in Europe and the U.S. Here, from BBC, are three of his pictures (click to enlarge):
donnah -- Yes, and the photographer did a great job of capturing their strange beauty. We had a '57 Pontiac Star Chief growing up. Wish it had been kept and preserved.
Oh, how cool! My Chieftain still has her original interior, which is really shabby, but she was painted in periwinkle and white, so she's quite a beauty. I drive her to rallies and cruise-ins in the summer, but I wonder what lies ahead for us this summer.
