QOTD -- Culture Warriors

"It is time to recognize reality.  The Bible-thumpers, reactionaries, racists, and miscellaneous paranoid morons comprising Red America are not our fellow countrymen.  They voted for Trump largely because he would "own the libs" and inflict pain on us.  They are our enemies, they hate us, and they are actively waging aggressive war against us.  I have nothing in common with this horde of gibbering barbarians." -- Infidel 753, in his post "The culture war turns hot."  As he points out, we're in an all- out struggle with these gun- humping seditionist goons, slugs the Orange Baboon is calling "very good people." Fortunately, there are more of us than them, but we aren't heard if we don't show up to vote.  Please go read the whole post.

The Neo-Nazi, gun humping.white Supremacists are champing at the bit to start a civil war. They are salivating for the opportunity or excuse to rip through all of the social norms of a civilized country and start shooting whomever they perceive to be against them. I think they should have been arrested for posing a threat and intimidating the workers in the State House in Michigan, but that truly would have ended in a violent riot, so I guess they had to let them have their way.

This country is teetering on the brink of insanity. I don't know what happens next.

donnah -- i hope the sight of these bullying clowns, misfits and fascists, whose intent is to intimidate others and impress themselves with their manhood compensators, turns public opinion even more against premature re-opening ("If those dumbasses think we should reopen, it can't be a good idea!"). They represent a tiny minority wherever they show up sporting their seditionist flair.

Thanks for the cite. That photo seems destined to become a classic, but it also exemplifies the "gibbering barbarian" in action. The moment I first saw it, it struck me as a primitive ape-creature engaged in the kind of shrieking intimidation display typical of enraged chimpanzees, at two full-fledged humans who -- luckily for their assailant -- have mastered the stoic self-restrain of the civilized.

Infidel -- that was a great post & expressed our thoughts, too. Yes, "gibbering barbarian" is an apt caption for that pic!
