Former Trumpist Attorney General Jefferson Beauregard Sessions has been on lawless demagogue and indicted con man Donald "Tovarich" Trump's shit list ever since he recused himself from the Russiagate investigation, and made Trump's obstruction of the investigation more difficult. Trump ended up firing him in 2018, and Sessions is now running in the Rethuglican primary for his old seat in the Senate from Alabammy. Up until now, Sessions has been fawning in praise for Trump and his radical MAGA agenda, despite Trump's scorn and backing Sessions' competitor in the Rethug primary, former Auburn football coach and dedicated Trumpanzee Tommy Tuberville. But yesterday, probably because he knows he's toast in the primary, Sessions had this to say to his cult leader:
.@realdonaldtrump Look, I know your anger, but recusal was required by law. I did my duty & you're damn fortunate I did. It protected the rule of law & resulted in your exoneration. Your personal feelings don't dictate who Alabama picks as their senator, the people of Alabama do. https://t.co/QQKHNAgmiE— Jeff Sessions (@jeffsessions) May 23, 2020
Ohh, my stars and bars, Beauregard is pushing back against the vulgar, spray-tanned yankee from New York City! Golf clap for him! This would be a good time to remind all that, within your personal resources, consider contributing to incumbent Dem Sen. Doug Jones, whose chances will improve if there's a, ahem, civil war within the Rethug party in Alabammy.
