Trump is saying that Obama was corrupt, a liar, and bent government power to personal, political ends.— T.J. Stiles (@TJStiles_Author) May 19, 2020
Wow.
You know how dirty politics has gotten when Trump accuses Obama of being Trump.
So #Trump, who stoked “birtherism” lunacy v the first Black #POTUS, was sued 4 house discrimination & vilified ppl of color won’t hang #Obama portrait. Welcome to that moment.
Days until November 3: 168.
Trump has tried from his first day in office to erase Obama's work and accomplishments. It's no surprise that he'll deny any action that would boost Obama's image, and the fact that hanging the portrait of the previous president in fact honors and celebrates Obama as well as being a tradition in the White House makes it doubly important to Trump to refuse to do it.
ReplyDeleteI'm just as glad, to be honest. I would rather have Joe Biden as President perform the honor next year, and I'm sure Obama would feel the same way.
There is no basement low enough for Trump. He can always go lower.
donnah -- it's easy to get overwhelmed by the abnormality, meanness, the pettiness and the downright evil of that monster in the White House. The more he's threatened, the lower he'll go for absolute certain. We shouldn't be surprised at anything between now and November 3, or after for that matter.
