Worried about a second coronavirus wave? We never overcame the first wave!
Look at who's nearly leading the world in new confirmed cases, with the trend line rising:

Meanwhile, the Lord of the Ramp has shuffled away waving a white flag, blaming too much testing for making him look bad. This is what an ignorant, feckless, self- serving orange malignancy has "accomplished," with considerable help from toady Republican governors and state legislatures rushing to "re- open" prematurely (i.e., see Update II), and lack of planning for adequate testing, tracking and isolation. Young people in the South and West, many of whom have been ignoring social distancing practices, are leading the surge and bringing the virus back to their families and friends. The mortality rate, of course, lags behind the infection rate by several weeks or more, so another brutal season of unnecessary suffering and death is already upon us.
There have been over 122,000 deaths to date, 70- 99 percent of which could have been avoided with competent leadership. It's on all of us to see to it that competent (i.e., non- Republican) leadership is restored at every level of government.
