A new Reuters/Ipsos poll conducted between June 10 - 16, former VP Joe Biden leads demagogue and election thief Donald "Impeached Forever" Trump among registered voters by 13%, his widest lead in that particular poll. That comports with the recent CNN poll showing Biden with a 14% lead (which so angered Trump that he risibly prompted his campaign to demand a retraction, which CNN refused to do).
Forty-eight percent said they would vote for Biden, while 35% said their choice would be Trump. The poll also indicated that 57% of voters disapproved of Trump's performance, with only 38% approving. Another statistic that should worry Trump is that his base support is eroding, with Republican approval declining 13% from March to June. His disastrous mishandling of the coronavirus response, as well as his thuggish reaction to anti-racism demonstrations for police reform, have contributed to his decline.
Polls are a snapshot in time, and time passes. The "poll" that counts is taken in the voting booth, so register, organize, and vote.

After what happened in 2016, I take poll results with a grain of salt. The mood is shifting, though, and it feels like the weight of Trump's consistent failures is pulling people away from his party. Unfortunately, the political parties are so deeply set against each other that even if their candidate or representative is a loser, they won't vote for the other party, no matter what.
Which is why we have to continue to forge ahead and get out the vote. Republicans are going to mess with the elections and try to cheat, so we need to vote in huge numbers and make it a landslide. And then we can flush this disgusting pile of crap away forever.
donnah -- We always need to imagine we're many points behind, and fight like hell to catch up. Against us will be arrayed big money, voter intimidation and suppression, and relentless lying and smearing.
