Reminded that he repeatedly said the virus would just disappear, Trump says, "The virus will disappear. It will disappear."
Again, extremely dishonest -- and, as usual, unwilling to stick to his New Trump scripted tone.

The stupid media response, one we've heard over and over is, “Trump has changed his tone.” FFS, he hasn't changed his tone, he's not finally “presidential” and he's not taking the reins to lead the nation. He's being pressured by staff and his campaign committee to pretend that he believes that the virus is real and to acknowledge that people are dying from it, just so he has a prayer for being re-elected.
ReplyDeleteThis crap from news media has to stop. Spinning a poorly-read speech in another faux news conference is not changing tone. It's an example of desperation, not leadership. Stop building Trump up and pretending that he's capable of doing the right thing.
donnah -- Reminds us of Lucy and the football, fooling Charlie Brown into thinking she won't pull the football away at the last moment.
