Feel like a walk? Go along on this evening waterside walk in Seoul, South Korea, for a soothing mental getaway. There used to be a shanty town along basically an open sewer; now it's this -- Cheonggyecheon Creek (btw the poster has made it viewable only on YouTube, so click here):
More walking South Korea vids here.
BONUS: Here's how it looked in pre- WWII Seoul--

Here's how it looked before and after restoration (2003-2005) --

Not only is it a stunning change, but it's uplifting as well. It's not a place I would have imagined wanting to visit, but this is quite a beautiful view.
ReplyDeletedonnah -- the water sounds add to the peacefulness, all the more incongruous in the middle of a towering megacity. Amazing the change over the years, too.
