A surge of COVID-19 deaths in El Paso, TX, has forced the county's medical examiner's office to use refrigerated trucks for COVID victims. County jail inmates have been used to load the bodies into the trucks. A sheriff's deputy tried to block the photographer from taking the shot of COVID victims being removed from the county morgue for storage.
Just days ago, the state appeals court ruled against El Paso County's order shutting down restaurants and other non-essential businesses after a group of restaurants and the Republican state attorney general filed suit against the county. Residents who care about their health might take note of the COVID-friendly restaurants that were on this lawsuit.
