Yesterday, two Republican members of the Wayne County, MI, Board of Canvassers voted against certifying the county's election results that gave President-elect Joe Biden a decisive win. Wayne County encompasses the city of Detroit, and is heavily Afro-American. Authoritarian demagogue and election rigger Donald "Mango Mussolini" Trump praised his lackeys for blocking certification, saying their vote-cancelling coup was a "beautiful thing." The Trump strategy was to throw the selection of Michigan's electors to the Republican-controlled state legislature, despite Biden winning the state by a huge 148,000 margin.
But, after intense pressure, the two backed off and voted to certify the results, after it was agreed that Michigan's secretary of state would conduct a full audit of Wayne County's votes, as if that would change the outcome and Biden's large margin of victory. The reversal marks yet another defeat of Trump's forces trying to subvert the will of the voters in several key states:
"The reversal in Michigan came as the Trump campaign has faced a string of failures in its beleaguered effort to overturn the result of the election through the courts. In the latest defeat on Tuesday, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court rejected the campaign’s claim that GOP observers did not have sufficient access to the vote count, underscoring how the president’s claims of voting irregularities have repeatedly run aground before judges."
Trump's inept legal team continues to fail at proving in court that there was massive voter fraud or irregularities because there is no proof. It's been an effort to appease the mentally unstable Trump and to put off the inevitable Electoral College confirmation that President-elect Biden won an impressive victory.
