Vote Certification Deadlines Near

The deadlines for certifying votes from the November 3 elections in key states are approaching in a matter of days, deadlines that neo-fascist demagogue and sociopath Donald "Mango Mussolini" Trump is trying to delay or undermine through bogus court challenges or pressuring state legislators to steal the vote. Georgia certified the vote yesterday, confirming President-elect Joe Biden's victory, although Trump's camp is asking for yet another recount.

Other states' deadlines and status are:

Arizona: The state is scheduled to certify the vote on November 30, although the date may be postponed at the discretion of Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs (D) until December 3. On Friday, a Maricopa County (Phoenix) judge tossed out the Trump team's last challenge.

Michigan: Certification of ballots is expected on November 30, but may take additional time. Trump's tried to pressure Republican state legislators to overturn the vote, which Biden won by over 150,000 votes, but they have publicly claimed they will follow Michigan laws and not interfere. We'll wait and see if they're telling the truth.

Nevada: On November 24, the Nevada Secretary of State Barbara Cegavske (R) will meet with Nevada's Supreme Court to certify the count. Trump tried to get certification of results stopped in Dem stronghold Clark County, but was rejected by the court yesterday.

Pennsylvania: County election boards have until November 23 to certify their counts. Trump's clownish legal team, led by corrupt nutcase Rudy "Hands In Pants" Giuliani, were savagely ripped by a Federal District judge in Pennsylvania on Friday as he dismissed their absurd case which would have disenfranchised millions of Pennsylvanians.

Wisconsin: The state has until December 1 to certify the vote count, while Trump's asked for a recount in two Democratic-dominated counties only, Milwaukee County and Dane County (Madison). Biden won the state by over 20,000 votes. There are reports that Trumpanzees are trying to disrupt the vote recounts in those jurisdictions.

The electoral college will meet in each state on December 14, with the outcome almost certain to be the election of Joe Biden as the 46th President, bogus law filings and pressure tactics from Trump notwithstanding.
