California has restricted travel and other activities in the wake of surging COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations. The state stay at home order divides the state into five regions, and restrictions in those regions are dependent on their ICU capacities. (We have it on good authority from our Santa Barbara bureau chief that officials there are seeking to carve out their coastal region -- Ventura, Santa Barbara, and San Luis Obispo Counties -- from the Southern California region). As long as they follow that sign.
