"Hours after hundreds of President Donald Trump’s supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol in a harrowing assault on American democracy, a shaken Congress on Thursday formally certified Democrat Joe Biden’s election victory."
Around 4 a.m. Eastern time today, the certified tally of electoral votes was read by Trump towel boy turned battered boyfriend VP Mike "Lord of the Flies" Pence, after objections from members of the Trump sedition caucus to the electoral votes in Arizona and Pennsylvania were defeated. The Senate and House resumed their ceremonial duty after hours of lockdown forced by a violent mob of seditionist Trump cultists who stormed the Capitol and roamed around vandalizing the building. Four people died during the insurrection, including a woman shot by Capitol Police and three others apparently suffering medical emergencies.
Mentally unstable demagogue and seditionist Donald "Mango Mussolini" Trump issued a brief statement, lying that he had won, but pledging an "orderly transition" with just two weeks left in his regime.
